The HMCT is now accepting applications for our Typographer-in-Residence program for 2020.

The Typographer-in-Residence program embeds artists, designers, researchers, and educators in the Center for a six-week period. The residency offers the opportunity to further investigate the importance and relevance of language and typography in the participant’s professional practice or personal research.

The resident spends six weeks in the HMCT studio and participates as a guest critic in one undergraduate typography class; delivers a public lecture; holds bi-weekly open conversations for faculty and students; and presents an exhibition of their work or research.

Past recipients include: Laurenz Brunner, Werkplaats Typografie, Lucienne Roberts, and Thomas Huot-Marchand.

Contact the HMCT for more information or to receive the application guidelines. DEADLINE: November 15, 2019.
