Josiah Tersieff graduated from ArtCenter with a Bachelor’s in Graphic Design in 2022. Based in Ventura, CA, he maintains a skillset geared toward the building and support of brand identities, often through custom typography and font design. He has worked as a freelancer with a variety of companies, from a tech startup to creative agencies. HMCT’s catalog of our 2021 HMCT Typographers-in-Residence program, Mujeres Hispanas y Tipografía (Hispanic Women and Typography), was recently reviewed by renowned author and designer Steven Heller in his engaging blog The Daily Heller. Highlighting the talents and contributions of five Hispanic women designers, researchers, and educators to graphic design and typography, the catalog reflects the influences that individual cultures and histories had on their investigations. LHM Fellow: Liz DeLuna
HMCT’s Leah Hoffmitz Milken Fellowship offers international grants to educators teaching at the university level designed to expand and enhance their teaching pedagogy. Chosen applicants are embedded for one week in ArtCenter typography classes, where they observe, learn, and share. The HMCT (South Campus) Gallery is free and open to the public. It is accessible when school is in term, seven days a week from 9 AM to 7 PM. The Storefront Gallery, located within the Center, is also free and open to the public most weekdays from 10 AM to 4 PM.
