Brian Ostroff: 2019 Sackner Award Winner

I put my shoes on every morning. I brush my teeth at least two times a day; once in the morning and again just before going to bed. I engage in fundamental patterns throughout my day, week, and month in the ways most of us do. I repeat actions that partially define me, actions that my neighbor and their neighbor, and their neighbor are practicing, potentially at the same moment each day.

This poster series highlights moments of life that overlap and persist. Patterns that we all share, but might understand differently based on personal experiences. Each poster in this series focuses on a reoccurring moment observed from daily rituals.

Inspiration was provided through Ty Drake’s Graduate Typography 1. The specific assignment encouraged story, research into creative philosophies, and personal voice.
