This year, HMCT partnered with Google to sponsor a brief for this prestigious international contest based in London. Our brief, Typographic Notes: The Empowerment of Music, challenged design students to find a genre, song or musical movement that best represents a cause and use typography to bring it to life. Our brief garnered almost 22,000 downloads in 119 countries; and we were number one in entry submissions. HMCT also provided one of the judges, ArtCenter Professor of Graphic Design Ty Drake, who judged the work remotely due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
