In conjunction with the exhibition Hello LA: Clive Piercy–Inside the Mind of a Designer at Williamson Gallery (Hillside Campus of ArtCenter), Archetype Press presents a demonstration by Professors Simon Johnston and Gloria Kondrup, who will design and hand-set a “Hello LA” broadside in the iconic style of the Colby Poster Printing Company, which attendees will be given the opportunity to print!
Simon Johnston and Clive Piercy donated their collection of Colby posters to the HMCT Archive. Designer Clive Piercy worked on a personal project with Colby, and described their work as ‘inimitably LA.’
