From Brayer to Brush: Jim Sherraden

HMCT Archetype Press is hosting printmaker JIM SHERRADEN: “FROM BRAYER TO BRUSH” on Friday, May 24 from 2–3 PM. Join us at the HMCT for a reception and talk with Sherraden and Archetype Press Director Gloria Kondrup, followed by a demo next door in Archetype Press. Event is free and open to the public.

“Balance of design found in nature, individualization of utilitarian objects, and the repurposing of items from their originally intended use are the three major themes explored by Jim Sherraden’s wooden and paper quilts. The 34 year veteran of Nashville’s iconic letterpress destination, Hatch Show Print, will present the metamorphosis of his work pre-Hatch, during Hatch, and his new bag of tricks since leaving the shop in late 2018.”
