Join us for an open house meet-and-greet at HMCT with letterpress wizard (and HMCT Archetype Press Printer-in-Residence for the week of February 12–18.) Dafi Kühne. Our comprehensive collection of his posters will be available to view, and an informal talk begins at 7:30 PM.
Dafi Kühne is a letterpress printer, graphic designer, and typographer from Switzerland. He works with letterpress printing presses, foundry metal and wood type, laser-cut, and other materials. Dafi studied at the Visual Communications Department of Zürich University of the Arts, and has since fused modern means with the century-old tradition of letterpress printing to form a new vocabulary for communicating through type and form in a truly contemporary way. Never retro, his work is a clever response to the search for new possibilities of graphic expression.
Free and open to the public. HMCT is located at 950 Raymond Avenue. Parking available in the South Campus lot at Glenarm and Raymond.
