Dafi Kühne is a letterpress printer, graphic designer, and typographer from Switzerland. Along with digital means, he works with letterpress printing presses, foundry metal and wood type, laser-cut, and other materials. Dafi studied at the Visual Communications Department of Zürich University of the Arts. He has since fused modern means with the century-old tradition of letterpress printing to form a new vocabulary for communicating through type and form in a truly contemporary way. Never retro, his work is a clever response to the search for new possibilities of graphic expression.
Borrowing its title from Dafi’s studio in Näfels, Switzerland, Baby Ink Twice showcases a selection of commissioned and self-initiated posters from the HMCT Archive.
The HMCT South Campus Gallery is free and open to the public. It is accessible when school is in term, seven days a week from 9 AM to 7 PM.
