Redact, Rewrite, Reframe presents work by a selection of artists and designers utilizing images and materials from news media in distinctive ways, emphasizing global sociopolitical events of the past two decades. Considering the ongoing debates surrounding the subjectivity of the news, this exhibition is a timely exploration of the tropes presented to us daily through diverse news outlets. Skillfully using various media informed by graphic design, typography, collage, painting, and photography, the artists and designers in Redact, Rewrite, Reframe examine the constructed and ideological nature of the news.

A collaborative exhibition organized by ArtCenter Exhibitions and HMCT, Redact, Rewrite, Reframe: Art and the News was on display as two concurrent installations at ArtCenter’s South Campus.
