Time is slippery stuff. Over thirty years ago I started a typography journal called Octavo in London, with Mark Holt and Hamish Muir, my partners at the 8vo design studio. Somehow the year numbers have stealthily clicked over from 1986 when we started, to 2017. Now our friends over at Unit Editions have started a Kickstarter campaign to publish a book reprinting all 8 issues of the journal at 1:1 scale, along with the original materials relating to its design and production. The Kickstarter campaign has only three days to go, so all support is welcome. I will be writing the foreword to the book, and you can read a brief interview I did with Adrian Shaughnessy of Unit Editions here. You can support the Kickstarter campaign here.
The HMCT (South Campus) Gallery is free and open to the public. It is accessible when school is in term, seven days a week from 9 AM to 7 PM.
The Storefront Gallery, located within the Center, is also free and open to the public most weekdays from 10 AM to 4 PM. (We advise you to call ahead to make sure the Storefront Gallery is open,
