Letterpress printer, graphic designer, and typographer Dafi Kühne studied at the Visual Communications Department of Zürich University of the Arts. Since learning the traditional skills of letterpress printing, he has focused on combining these with more contemporary methods to create posters for clients as well as his own artwork. His studio, located in the Swiss Alps, has over two tons worth of printing equipment. He has served as artist-in-residence at HMCT Archetype Press in 2019, 2022, and 2023. During his 2019 residency, he produced a poster (edition of ten) exclusively for HMCT. The Archive collection also contains a sample of each piece of Kühne’s extant work: posters printed for events, institutions, and products.
