David King (1943-2016) was a renowned British writer, designer, and historian known for researching and assembling one of the largest collections of Soviet graphics and photographs. He also published a series of books on the history of the art and propaganda of the Russian Revolution — much of which is now housed at the Tate Modern Museum, London. The HMCT’s collection features over 100 samples of King’s own prolific graphic design work, mostly from the 1970s, when he was designing for many political groups.
