"Footnotes" is an independent print periodical dedicated to applied research in type design, published occasionally since 2016 by the Swiss publisher La Police. It serves as a thoughtful forum for essays, case studies, and visual essays on typography and typeface practice, edited and designed under the direction of Mathieu Christe and made available in libraries and institutions worldwide.
