As part of ArtCenter’s 2025 Alumni Reunion, HMCT will present a pop-up exhibition dedicated to Leah Hoffmitz Milken, a former ArtCenter professor and a formative figure in typography and design education, in whose memory HMCT was founded. Drawing from our extensive Archive of Leah’s materials, the exhibition will offer a focused view of her lifelong work and influence. On display will be early projects from her studies at the Basel School of Design (Schule für Gestaltung Basel), sketches and proofs from professional commissions, as well as research and teaching materials. | The HMCT classroom will be activated into an active space for exploring these artefacts, providing both a portrait of Leah’s career and a window into typographic practices of the recent past. |
