WT in LA presents the results of a six-week residency by students from the Werkplaats Typografie (ArtEZ University of the Arts, Arnhem), who developed both individual and collaborative projects around the theme Mapping the Stars. The works reflected their impressions and observations of Los Angeles through a constellation of extracted butch signifiers, walk-in sculptures, additional footnotes, pre-fab bungalows, condensed sunshine, phonebooks, doppelgängers, sculptural glyphs, broadcasts, a trip of failures, a bass performance, and one particularly satisfying tarot reading.
