This past spring, HMCT Archetype Press hosted our first Artist-in-Residency, the renowned Swiss graphic designer, typographer, and letterpress printer, Dafi Kühne.

During his Archetype Press residency, Dafi produced a poster [edition of ten] exclusively for HMCT. Our Archives collection now contains a sample of each piece of Kühne’s extant work, consisting of 65 posters hand printed for events, institutions, and products.

HMCT produced a video with filmmaker/videographer Alex Dimitriadis to commemorate Dafi’s time spent with us, and to share his work process with a wide audience. The video can be viewed here on our youtube channel.

Thanks to all who participated in making our first Artist-in-Residency such a success.
