HMCT is excited to launch the Quasi: Experimental Writing Systems website, a digital extension of the 2023–2024 exhibition held at the HMCT Gallery. Quasi explores invented and fictional writing systems—scripts created to imagine new forms of language, communication, and meaning. | The project examines how artists and designers construct alternative symbol systems, whether to encode information, revive lost languages, or expand the expressive possibilities of written form. We invite you to explore this virtual version of Quasi and discover how experimental writing can challenge assumptions about language, authorship, and design itself. |
