Following his education at the Basel School of Design where he studied under some of the great names of Swiss typography, including Wolfgang Weingart and Armin Hofmann, Jean-Benoit Levy opened his own studio in Basel in 1989, A N D. for the next twenty years, A N D created graphic design for various local, regional and national companies and organizations in Switzerland. Jean-Benoit has lived in San Francisco since 2006, sharing his knowledge through exhibitions, workshops, both nationally and internationally covering topics such as street advertising, typography, and visual design.
