Leah Hoffmitz Milken was a graphic designer and educator whose dedicated scholarship on letterforms defined both her teaching and her practice. She specialized in logotypes, identities, and custom typefaces for corporate brands, while also cultivating a deep archive of typographic research. Leah taught at ArtCenter from 1992 for more than two decades, guiding students in the history and practice of typography and graphic design. Following her death, the Hoffmitz Milken Center for Typography (HMCT) was established in her memory. On its tenth anniversary, we honor Leah’s legacy with this exhibition of selected works from her archive, tracing the process behind her finished pieces and offering a glimpse into the broader body of material preserved at HMCT. | Exhibition design and curation: Lavinia Lascaris, Ximena Amaya, Brice Pierce Installation: Brice Pierce, Vini Marques |
