In 2023, the Hoffmitz Milken Center for Typography, appointed Greg Lindy, founder of LuxTypo, as its Typographer-in-Residence.

Lindy has been active in typography and type design for over two decades, teaching classes and workshops in both areas. At ArtCenter College of Design, he currently teaches Font Design, guiding students in exploring the communicative potential of typefaces and in developing publishable fonts.

His interest in creating opportunities for emerging designers led to the development of a digital foundry concept, intended as a platform for ArtCenter students, alumni, and faculty to publish their work. During his residency at HMCT in October 2023, Lindy worked on advancing this initiative in collaboration with Residency Fellow Josiah Tersieff.
