Greg Lindy’s residency project focuses on developing a digital foundry initiative centered on typefaces designed by students in the Font Design classes he teaches at ArtCenter College of Design, extending these projects beyond the classroom and into public circulation. During his residency, Lindy worked on shaping the structure and direction of what would become the HMCT Foundry. Lindy has been active in typography and type design for more than two decades, teaching classes and workshops in both areas while maintaining an ongoing practice as a type designer. He is the founder of LuxTypo and teaches Font Design at ArtCenter, where he guides students in exploring the communicative potential of typefaces and developing publishable fonts. |
